Linda Gater Yousefivand
Linda Gater Yousefivand, 68, passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2024, in Los Angeles, California surrounded by her family.
Lyn was born December 25, 1955 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Forrest (Tork) Gater and Margaret Long Gater. She was a graduate of Salem High School, class of 1973. After graduation, she moved to LA where she received her degree from Long Beach State in finance.
She married Alireza Yousefivand, who survives.
She retired from the Boeing Company in 2022. Lyn loved walking on the beach, listening to music, traveling and spending time with friends and family. She was strong, patient and kind.
She will be missed by her daughters: Allison and Ashley Yousefivand and her son Lucas Yousefivand, all of Los Angeles. Three sisters: Val (Dan) Kelly, Janet Moore and Dawn (Billy) Potter, all of Salem and her nieces, nephews and In laws.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Forrest Gater and Margaret Udell, her brother, David Gater and her father-in-law: Yaghoub (Jacob) Yousefivand.
Cremation was chosen.
